Crest of Hyrule Chainmaille Tapestry

IT'S FINISHED!

After months and month of working here and there on it, it's finally done! I just need to find a nice rod to hang it on.

This is the Crest of Hyrule, done in 16 ga 1/4" rings. I made it so I can auction it off for Child's Play. Why Child's Play? Because I spent my 7th birthday in the hospital, before the concept of game carts and game rooms in hospitals existed. I would have KILLED to have had a Gameboy inside of the oxygen tent I was stuck in for weeks. And that's what Child's Play does. They put toys and game systems inside of hospitals so kids can have some fun and feel normal again, if even for a little while. My mom is a nurse, and she has told me time and time again that this is a part of the healing process that is often overlooked. Fun is good medicine. If you can, donate a few bucks to them. You can even suggest your local hospital be put on their list.

If I can find a gameathon group doing a Legend of Zelda playthrough, I'll give it to them to auction off during their charity drive as a boost.
