Quatrefoil Earrings

I was wearing a Celtic Visions bracelet I made a while ago and decided to have some fun with the weave.

After much fiddling, this is what I came up with. ^_^

I was inspired by stained glass windows; hence the name. I knew I had to make another little quatrefoil unit, and turn them into earrings. Of course, only a faceted bead would do, although I was very tempted to add deep green glass teardrops.

I'll probably make a pair like that, and another one with pearls.


But about the little unit. It's really stiff - I can flip it like a coin. There's definately sculptural potential, and I've got some ideas brewing in my head that I hope will work when I try them out.

EDIT - Awwm c'mon, guys! One of the fun things about maille is puzzling out things on your own. It took me two movies and a lot of destroyed rings to figure these out. I just pulled the last of the metal slivers out of my fingers earlier.
But I'll tell ya anyway. ^_^ Just be careful - They're really tight, and I lost a few fingernails to plier slips.
